Here is a list of possible house rules and rules that may need changing for my ongoing D&D/Pathfinder game. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Races:
- Half-orc is too similar to half elf. I plan on using the version from the beta test with +2 str and wis, -2 cha. Still thinking about this.
Classes:
- Barbarian 17: Tireless rage: as written allows infinite uses of once per rage abilities, this seems to be an oversight
- Cleric:
Chaos Domain: Change to not effect creatures with more hit-dice than the cleric has cleric levels.
Repose Domain: Change to not effect creatures with more hit-dice than the cleric has cleric levels.
Madness Domain: Not sure how to change this. Seems incridible as a buff and way too good as normal. It needs to be changed.
Skills:
- Addition of Streetwise as a class skill.
- Separation of active and passive perception. Active would be renamed search/investigate.
Feats:
- All the critical feats seem too good. (Stunning critical and bleeding critical to the largest degree) Changes would either be each is usable only once per combat, or each is only usable on a natural 20.
Selling items: 20% instead of 50%?
Spells:
- Create Water will be changed to a first level spell. This is not for any game balance purpose but because it does not fit the aesthetic of my world especially in the desert areas of the world for there to be a 0 level spell that creates infinite water.
- Mending: I may change mending to only effect magic items when you have the appropriate item creation feat. This is once again for the aesthetic of the world.
Any comments/suggestions (barring, that we should just stick with the game as it is for that reason), would be appreciated.
