Known Characters from the city of Palantyne:
King Thadius Galverth
General Grenich: Head of the Palantyne army
Lord mage Derrick Ranel: head of arcane military affairs
Liza: Water oriented Shugenja whose home had a strange metal “panther” in it.
Kail: Fire Genasi, brother to Liza who challenged Kalim to a duel.
Thoril: Dwarf owner of the Golden Harp, an inn known for its excellent ale, he really seems to like Kiven
Tira: Serving girl in the Golden Harp, she flirts with Cuthbert from time to time
About a week after meeting Liza and helping her with her problem and then having a brief confrontation with her brother Kail, none of you have since seen any trace of either of them. She does not seem to have returned to her home if anyone has looked for her there and has ended her lease if anyone checks with the slumlord. One late afternoon while Ravu, Kamil, Cuthbert, and Kiven are together in the common-room, Thoril would approach clearing his throat. “I though you fellahs ought to know, there’s a guys who’s been comin’ around ‘ere lately who’s been askin’ about’cho. He said he had a message for you which he had to deliver ‘imself. Was a creepy feller too. White skin and long gray hair, though not really an older guy.”
That evening any of you in the bar would recognize the description as he approaches you. He seems to have a wind blowing by him even as you are indoors. “You are one from the group know as The Last Warning I assume.” he begins. I have a letter for you. You would do well to seriously consider it as I am not one as rash as my brother or as inquisitive as my sister. When Brayorth arrives we will require an answer. You should consider yourselves lucky his eminence has given you this chance for reprieve otherwise you would not have any more warning than my foolish siblings seem to have already given you. It does not matter anyhow.” He then would hand over a letter which reads as follows:
While I am rather disappointed that you were able to dispatch one of my most unique generals and with only minor casualties, it does drive me to a quandary. My natural reaction would normally be to simply kill you but as you do have something I need I will give you the opportunity to join me in a much more lucrative venture. You will give me the stone and in return I will reward your group with my previous general’s position and a magik item of a power equal to the one he had on him for each of you. And as I am sure you would so eloquently put it. This is your last warning.
The note is signed with a strange glowing symbol none of you recognize and bursts into flames upon being read. The white skinned figure had been sitting back lounging in a chair while you read. He would rise and say: “I hope to have your decision soon.” upon the letter incinerating. If anyone makes any aggressive motions or draws weapons he would respond saying: “Please, you would dare to attack me, an unarmed messenger in the middle of a public area. You make my life far too easy.” Assuming he remains unmolested he would stand and leave.
