Anyone who is interested in posting character descriptions and such about their characters should do it here. If you add stuff though, edit your first post rather than making a new one to make sure it stays relatively easy to distinguish characters. I am not posting the things you guys have sent me because then you wouldn't be able to edit your own posts but if anyone wants copys of notes they have sent me they can email or message me and I will send them a copy.

Ravu is a calm and quiet fellow. He is less worldly compared to his companions, and is content to sit back and let things take care of themselves. There is an order to everything, after all. He has traveled the western lands for half or more of his adult life, and is used to the stares of a town viewing a man-sized monkey in full garb. His blindfold adds to this aura of mystery that has made him quite well known in various lands. Physical Description Ravu is about average height for a Vanara, standing seven inches over four feet. He is a fit and flexible 92 pound male with modest muscle tone and light brown fur with white wisps.
His entire body radiates electricity; if Ravu has the time during combat, his hands and feet radiate electricity. He otherwise keeps the rest of his body actively electric unless formality or circumstance makes that undesirable.
Equipment visible- Plain linen blindfold, weathered (faint(?) psionic)
- Amulet of an eye covered in elaborate carvings, on a chain (strong(?) psionic)
- Simple golden circlet with small red gem in front (strong evocation)
- Over-sized and well-worn gray traveling cloak, with hood rarely worn (faint abjuration)
- Tarnished bracers (moderate conjuration)
- Dusty rose prism (ioun stone) orbiting his head (moderate abjuration(?))
- Thin fingerless gloves (moderate transmutation)
- Rough dark brown shirt (faint(?) transmutation(?))
- Simple lightweight loose springtime clothes under cloak and shirt (no aura)
- Simple cord belt (moderate evocation)
- Glass taichi sword (strong(?) transmutation)
- Cold iron kama (faint transmutation)
- Black obsidian sai (moderate conjuration, faint transmutation)
- Some potions in vials (various auras, mostly faint-moderate abjuration)
- Some small pouches that jingles slightly (some shards of metal in a white powder, bait for pickpockets or powder bomb for marking invisible enemies, no aura)
- Very comfortable sandals from his clan's home region (faint transmutation)
While Ravu is somewhat often seen fighting with sword in hand, it is rarely used to actually attack an enemy.
Under his cloak, in a nice and safe place, Ravu keeps his extra-dimensional sack, wherein most of the rest of his equipment is kept.
He is quite frequently seen with his kettle and mug, cooking up this foul-smelling drink he seems to ritually consume. Rumor even has it that he's trying to grow the beans for it in the spare space of the fields by his clan's stronghold in the East.

Brief History(From memory, may be inconsistent with my notes or with in-game events) Ravu was a young up-and-rising martial artist in one of the Eel clan's lesser holdings. When the Eel clan was destroyed thirty years ago by the ____ ninja clan, his sensai, a retired clan elder, got word of the attack through a very old contact, allowing a small handful of them to make a hasty escape. A few years later, the remnants of the Eel clan, along with a sister clan, attempted to remove one of ____'s minor holdings and re-establish the Eel clan in its place. As his vanara blood made Ravu too young for the assault, he did not participate. The sister clan turned on them, and the assault failed, with only the elder surviving (a sign of respect). Ravu trained with the elder for a few years after that, until the elder expired of age. Ravu's existence was not known to the ____ clan at the time. Needing further training and not trusting old Eel contacts to get it, Ravu decided to leave the eastern lands and pick up some skills that would not be known to the ____ clan. He soon found himself adventuring with a group called Last Warning. Eel clanThe Eel clan was not a ninja clan. It was a modest group of open-minded followers of Shen-Ye (I got this name completely wrong), known in the west as Bahamut. They protected cities, acted as respected mercenaries, elite guards, and performed a number of information-gathering services. On rare occasion, they would participate in a coup of some sort. The Eel clan was well known for their electric-based attacks, using it as a trademark. Even unarmed, they could send small electric shocks to enemies in melee combat. Ravu's electric radiation is a tribute to this, though more powerful than the lost ability of his kinsmen. For a while, Ravu was able to exhibit this ability, through the use of a mysterious pair of gloves whose sole purpose seemed to be to help him unlock this power. The power of these gloves unfortunately faded before Ravu could determine how to independently trigger this power. ____ clan(I think it was called something like "Blue Rose" clan) This clan is famous for its beautiful roses. These are custom-bred roses from which can be extracted one of the world's deadlier natural poisons. A rose is left on the corpse of each of their victims (the poison has usually been expended). ____ is a very strong ninja clan, claiming to contain some of the world's most elite assassins. They specialize in bypassing the highest levels of security (to slay an army's commander from their base camp without detection, for example).
As an aside to interested parties, I have a very detailed character description of my flamboyant and comedic gnome Zelk (Brd3/Clr1/Charlatan5/Exemplar1). He is a great example of a gnome that is most certainly NOT a tinker gnome. The only tinkerish bit in him is the fact that his family brews a fine hoppy wine.

Post by Cuthbert on Jun 28, 2007 22:18:08 GMT -5
Cuthbert has blonde hair that is lighter than mine, with unsettling green eyes that give off an impression of focus. He is thin and not overly tall, but looks as though he is somehow built without being muscular. He has a scar on one cheek and very close examination would reveal faint scales, sharp fingernails, and vaguely fang-like teeth. He frequently has an owl on one shoulder and these days, he wears a shimmering robe and has two ioun stones floating around his head.
For all his complaining, Cuthbert seems as though he is only vaguely interested in his immediate surroundings, as if he is unsure if they are real. One gets the impression he is constantly wondering how he got where he is and how he has done what he has done. It seems as though he is waiting for something, although even he probably doesn't know what it is. He is far from pompous about his own abilities but trusts in the combined strength of his friends. He often looks a bit sad.
Cuthbert's father, Cuthbert Senior, was named after the deity as an intentionally blasphemous joke. Roland, Cuthbert's grandfather, was cruel enough to make the elder Cuthbert wary of arcane magic in general. The younger Cuthbert barely knew his mother, who died shortly after giving birth to Cuthbert's younger sister Reina.
At this point, the elder Cuthbert tried to move away from the West to start a new life, but ended up succumbing to alcoholism. He was particularly upset when Cuthbert started taking an interest in arcane magic and visiting a local gnome to learn more about it. When he revealed that he was starting to develop as a sorceror, his father was angry enough to strike him, which is what left the mark on Cuthbert's cheek. He befriended an elf wizard, Luca, in his travels, and might have gotten closer to her if it weren't for the fact that she felt he was superior to him and he knew it. Eventually, they parted ways and Cuthbert summoned his familiar, Link, to keep him company in his travels. He signed on to guard a merchant's cart from kobold attacks, met Orphen in doing so, and what with one thing or another, he became a badass of literally epic porportions with a group of other people who were also badasses of epic porportions, doing a whole bunch of wacky shit along the way.
In the process, he discovered that he had another sister, who had been kidnapped by his grandfather when she was very young. He also left Reina in Finbar's care and hasn't seen her since, killed his grandfather twice, and had to rescue his father from the underworld. He met Luca again and still isn't sure how to feel about it, but is trying to put it aside for the moment, and he still travels with Link.
He left his horse, Epona, in a stable somewhere and still feels slightly guilty about it sometimes.
Some interesting things about Cuthbert are:
1) He wouldn't heal his scar even if someone offered to do it for him 2) He more or less refuses to drink alcohol 3) Phantasmal Killer would pull back the fabric of the Universe and reveal that it had no purpose if someone cast it on Cuthbert 4) His birthday is February 9th
I am pretty sure I know where Cuthbert will be going and where he will be going when the campaign ends; he will probably be departing the world and leaving his Institute for Extraplanar Research behind in Paul's elven city. I'll probably post more about that when and if we get there.
When I first started playing Cuthbert, I thought Dungeons and Dragons was a board game and I didn't own any books or dice, I didn't know who Greg was and I don't even think Paul had met Adam yet, and I was almost certainly crazy enough that someone probably should have put me in a psych ward for awhile.
Now, I'm building a campaign for the second time and I have most of the books that are available on pdf, I probably know Greg and Adam better than I know sleeping Ranger, Evan, and I'm just crazy enough to be lovably (or irritatingly, depending on whose side your on) crazy. He's an oooooooooooolllllld character.
